What We Do
Youth Aviation Education ClassesThe Gateway Eagles have worked with educators and professionals in aviation to produce a comprehensive curriculum that we use to introduce youth of all ages to the science and history of flight and career opportunities in the aviation industry.
The curriculum is adaptable to grade school, junior high and high school level students and has been presented at schools, churches and community development organizations. For information on scheduling an event, Contact Us. |

The Saint Louis Science Center Introduction To FlightAs part of our community outreach, the Gateway Eagles have partnered with the Saint Louis Science Center to introduce everyone to the fun of flight through the "Experience Flight" center in the SLSC Planetarium building.
On the fourth Saturday of each month, GEM pilots and members utilize nine flight simulator stations to teach young and old alike to learn how to fly a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. After a short briefing on flight basics and aircraft controls, student pilots can soar above the St. Louis skyline and even fly through the Gateway Arch. And it's FREE! Come join us. |
